Icebreaker

Welcome to my domain of attempted  social networking. Here I will share thoughts, music/film, experiences and hopefully interact with some people. First hit play on the track above for some appropriate background noise….

I’ll wait…..

I’ll get straight to the point. Everything you believe is bullshit.

Got your attention? Good, let's move on.

Truth isn’t something to be proud of. It’s like being proud of yourself for seeing the moon. If anything, one should feel ashamed for believing anything but the truth. We live in a world where there is no truth. Everybody is right all the time. No matter where you go, there is always a group of humans who collectively agree on a unique system of principles and symbols. Republicans, Democrats, Roman Catholics, Orthodox Jews, Satanists, Atheists, Freemasons, Feminists, the list goes on. Within each group are sub-groups, variations on the theme. Any logical person would conclude that none of these ‘groups’ are right. It is impossible. There is but one existence, one truth. These groups operate in an exclusively intellectual dimension (vacuum). There is a constant hypocrisy between what they ‘believe’....

and how they actually live...

How people actually live is more revealing than their beliefs, its the true religion. People will shed their beliefs like snakeskin at the sign of any danger. Natural disaster, murderer/burglar, martial law, economic depressions, etc. Even at the sign of material abundance. Playing the lottery in hope of material luxury, suing for large amounts, soul-killing work for the money, etc. I live in New York City, 99.9% of people ignore the homeless and dirt poor in this prison, yet I look online and a majority of people supposedly ‘believe’ in some compassion based religion/set of principles. Usually when they do help, its to pose for others. Therefore, there is no place for religious or politically biased opinions on this blog. The only talk of religion, politics or any belief system will be objective, sans bias.

I am a musician and I will talk about music and share music, but I refuse to be cornered into 'playing it safe' like the majority of my peers by only talking about music and politically correct topics. I will talk about politics, the occult, money, sex, drugs, hustling, love, traveling, food and more. I will give insight into my successes and my failures. I will call out anybody and everybody who puts themselves in a position to be called out. I will post anything from extended compositions and conceptual improvisations to hip-hop beats and pop songs. I'll invite special guests who are even ballsier than I am to post on Sans Bias. I'll give you what you want. I simply do not give a fuck about maintaining some false ties with a 'tradition'. Music is a tradition in and of itself. To claim loyalty to a subgroup of music is like choosing a sub-group of religion or politics, trivial meddling over insignificant details, usually leading to boring results clouded by intellectual posing. I'm honest with myself, I love Jay-Z and I love Georgy Ligeti. The fact that I have an affinity for both means there is something about both artists that draws me in, something about the confidence and honesty of the music. Therefore, my listening choices transcend race, politics, morality, nationality, intellectual complexity. So do my life choices. I live for excitement, truth and pleasure. I do all I can to enjoy myself because either way, Haters Gon' Hate!

Welcome to my world.
